Hello folks, I'm Debra from Toronto. Let me tell you something, drainage block is a pain in the ass. If you ever had drainage block in your home, you will know how annoying and bothersome it is.

Last year, our basement drain had blocks. So my husband called a nearby plumbing service. Just like other drains, basement drains collect residue and debris and need regular cleaning and maintenance.

If it is a block, I can give you a simple tip. Pour a pot of boiling water down and wait for some time. Then add some baking soda down the drain and make it fizzle by adding 3 cups of vinegar. Wait till it works. Next add about 5 bowls of boiling water slowly. Wash away what's left of the vinegar and baking soda.

If it is a typical block, this DIY remedy will help you. Or else you should consult a professional plumber.
